2 lbs peanuts in shells
3 tbsp salt
Zatarain's Crab & Shrimp Boil
1 tbsp red pepper
1 cup jalapeno peppers, sliced
Directions:
Rinse peanuts. Put in a large pot and add water almost filling the pot.
Add salt to water and stir well. Cover pot and cook on high heat bringing water to a boil.
Add crab boil mix, red pepper and jalepenos to water.
Lower heat to make sure water doesn't boil over. Keep adding water as needed to keep peanuts below water. Bring water back up to boiling when adding water.
Boil for 3.5 - 4 hours. Peanuts are ready when the nut is no longer hard.
Remove from water by straining and allow to cool a while before serving.
