Louisiana Style Lil Smokies2013-01-06
- 5 slices bacon, diced
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 3/4 cup catsup
- 3 tablespoons Tabasco brand green pepper sauce
- 1 1/2 packages Lil Smokies brand sausage, chopped
- Rice (cooked)
Fry bacon over medium heat until crisp and brown.
Add green bell pepper and onion. Cook until tender.
Stir in catsup, juice and green pepper sauce. Mix well.
Add smoked sausage to sauce and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Serve as is or over rice.
