Cajun Beef Stew

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef
  • 1 large potato
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 lb peeled tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 celery tops
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced thinly
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

Method

Step 1

Cut beef into one inch cubes.

Step 2

Peel and slice potato.

Step 3

Brown beef in oil then sprinkle meat with flour.

Step 4

Add onions and cook for five minutes.

Step 5

Add rest of ingredients. Cover and simmer for 1.5 hours.
