Marinated Fried Alligator

Ingredients

  • 1 pound alligator meat
  • 1 cup cooking sherry
  • 1 teaspoon Season-All
  • 1/2 cup Italian salad dressing
  • 1 tablespoon lemon pepper
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

Method

Step 1

Marinate alligator in cooking sherry, salad dressing, lemon juice, lemon pepper and Season-All for 2 hours.

Step 2

Remove meat from marinade.

Step 3

Coat meat with flour.

Step 4

Fry pieces turning often to avoid burning and sticking (about 15 minutes).

Step 5

Place meat on paper towel lined plate to absorb excess oils.

Step 6

Serve hot.
